This past weekend I headed down to the beach with D, Mary Beth, Tucker, and family. It was a nice cool weekend on the coast and a much needed weekend out of town.
Friday night, we headed to Russell’s for some fried seafood. As we sat outside enjoying the fresh crisp air, we could hear the rain heading our way at a quickening pace. We picked up our drinks and headed inside right as the sky started to fall. So as we waited for our food to be ready, we made the decision to take it to go and head back to the house.
Saturday morning, we made our way out after a filling breakfast. We headed down to Market Commons for some shopping and lunch. For lunch, we ate at Gordon Biersch. Mary Beth and I both ordered a flight, to start.
To eat, we shared mini bratwursts and pork tenderloin sliders. It was one of the most delicious meals I’ve ever had. Honest.
After some shopping, the girls went and met up with the boys at Causeway for some darts before dinner. This is my main squeeze:
Tucker fixed a delicious Beaufort Stew Saturday evening before we headed down to Murrell’s Inlet to watch the games at Dead Dog Saloon. What a scene … and what a night of football. I enjoyed spending time with Mary Beth, as always.
And this guy’s not too bad either.
On Sunday, D and I walked out to the pier and watched the fishermen. It was a calm morning and the sun finally started peeping.
That afternoon, we stopped at Nacho Hippo for lunch. Their tacos were delicious and their nachos? Ginormous. The place was so full of funk. I want to try to make the taco I ate sometime.
Love You Long Time – Orange chili chicken, melon salsa, mixed greens, spicy mayo, and cashews
Next up, we were off to Florence for Patty’s birthday on the creek. I enjoyed the taste of Bell’s Midwestern Pale Ale while the guys shot at bottles and the leaves fell all around us. It was a beautiful afternoon and weekend.
