In April, Palmetto Health Foundation put on its annual KEMOPALOOZA event. The money raised from KEMOPALOOZA goes to help provide funding for CAMP KEMO Programs of Palmetto Health Children’s Hospital. CAMP KEMO is a week long summer camp for children (ages 5-18) with cancer and their siblings.
The event itself is almost like a celebration of those children who are always there with their dancing shoes – and fancy suits! – on. This year was my second year as a volunteer at the event and I loved every minute of it.
I started out with doing a little chalking for the social media sign.
It was my first experience with using chalk for art. After experimenting with chalk pens I decided I liked the chubby chalk a LOT better – so many more color options, too!
