rock it out.

I haven’t downloaded any music in what could arguably be considered a record amount of time for me. Rather, I’ve been listening to my self made album “I work out” on repeat and shuffle whilst running. But methinks I might be in need of adding some songs so I don’t hear them 3 times each in 1 run … or maybe I’m just feeling the need for some saucy new tunes. Nevertheless, I’ll take any suggestions I can get along the caliber and rhythm of what I’m already listening to. Which is this:

  • Cheers (Drink to That) – Rihanna
  • Empire State of Mind – Jay.Z
  • Forever – Chris Brown
  • Heartless – Kanye West
  • Irreplaceable – Beyonce
  • Last Friday Night – Katy Perry
  • Love on Top – Beyonce
  • Raise Your Glass – Pink
  • Sexy and I Know It – LMFAO
  • Single Ladies – Beyonce
  • What’s My Name? – Rihanna
  • Best Thing I Never Had – Beyonce
  • Fly – Nicki Minaj & Rihanna
  • Super Bass – Nicki Minaj

I feel like typing that up was the equivalent of opening up my underwear drawer. Which means I clearly think of my runs as intimate time? Scrrrr – weird?

For the record, Kanye’s Heartless is my favorite.

  1. Statement that won’t shock you: my running mix has many of the same songs.

Mine, however, is much longer because sometimes when I’m in the midst of a bad run and I have to get angry at something, I get angry at my music and convince myself that I’m sick of all of it. So, more variety = better.

May the Detroit girl suggest you add a little Eminem into the mix? Or how about a touch of JTimberlake? (I always like to support my future husbands.) Shakira. Oh, and the Detroit girl also has some Motown classics in her mix. Signed, Sealed, Delivered? I run to that.

Um, so what I’m pretty sure I’m saying here is that I need some new music, too.

  2. download the fray’s cover of heartless – it’s amazing.

and for your work out playlist…
    — survivor – destiny’s child
    — stronger – kelly clarkson
    — goodies – ciara
    — drop the world – lil wayne
    — club can’t even handle me – flo rida
