color my world.

Today I wore a navy shirt, a black and navy tweed/wool (are those redundant?) J.Crew mini skirt, black tights and black boots. Not exaaaactly colorful. But then again Cat did call me at some point and say something like “Holy hell have you seen how foggy it is out? I can barely see.” And then I looked out my office window for the first time in 5 hours and saw that it looked like Forks, Washington outside.

Is it weird to dress the way you feel? I’ve always thought the idea of “dressing for the weather” in terms of color was rather … depressing. I remember going to New York with some friends while I was a junior at Clemson and we wore coats of red, orange, and pink and everyone in New York was clothed in black head to toe. What’s wrong with color no matter the time of year and the temperature? Why wouldn’t one add color to a rainy day?
