harvest time.

Monday evening I attended the Harvest Dinner Holiday Party at City Roots. My good friend Eric runs City Roots so it was fun to finally get out there and see how they set up to party.

A little over a year ago I went with a friend as his date to a Farm to Table Dinner hosted by Coastal Uncorked in the middle of a corn field. City Roots’ event utilized their green houses and the area between and beside their row crops.

The night was perfect. And there’s nothing I love more than white lights and fire pits.

Local food was set up everywhere and provided through a partnership City Roots has with @116. That makes me doubly excited to be going there for dinner next week.

Ornaments decorated the top tier sprinklers in the greenhouse where desserts, cheeses, and even pumpkin spring rolls were found. I also got to see some friends that work for W.P. Rawl and one of their wives and also good friend of mine, Meagan Warren.

I’m wishing to relive last night all over again already.

Add in cognac + hot cider and another one of my favorite things – live bluegrass music – and my level of contentedness couldn’t have been higher. I love the Whiskey Tango Revue.

So excited for my next Harvest Dinner.
